Leading The Way Since 1931

For almost 100 years, Mt. Lebanon High School has done more than educate students. It has shaped a community. Our story is one of bold ideas, local pride, and a steady commitment to leading the way in public education. Here is how it began, and how it became the school we know today.

Mt. Lebanon High School has been a cornerstone of the community for generations.

While the roots of public education in Mt. Lebanon date back to the early 1900s, the story of the high school began in the late 1920s as the growing community recognized the importance of providing students with a comprehensive secondary education close to home.

In 1931, Mt. Lebanon's first senior class graduated, marking the beginning of a proud tradition of academic excellence, student leadership, and community involvement that continues today.

As Mt. Lebanon grew, so did its high school. New facilities, expanded academic offerings, and opportunities in the arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities helped establish Mt. Lebanon High School as one of the region's premier public schools.
