Congratulations MTLHS 2021 National Merit Semifinalists and Commended Students

Congratulations to the seven Mt. Lebanon High School seniors who have been selected as National Merit Semifinalists in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Competition. They are among the highest scoring entrants in Pennsylvania. Based on the results of the October 2019 PSAT, less than 1% of the 1.6 million students who as juniors took the PSAT last fall from across the country, have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists.

About 16,000 students, or approximately one-third of the 50,000 high scorers, are notified that they have qualified as Semifinalists. To ensure that academically talented young people from all parts of the United States are included in this talent pool, Semifinalists are designated on a state-representational basis.

In addition, there are 14 students recognized as Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program. Congratulations to the following students
