Curriculum Night, January 26th

Curriculum Night, January 26th

Dear Families of Students in Grades 9, 10, and 11,

I am pleased to invite you to attend our Curriculum Night presentation for the 2023-2024 school year, scheduled for Thursday, January 26, from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Teachers from all departments will be available in classrooms and other areas located in the science wing and Center Court. (Students in grades 9-11 are welcome to attend but not required. Students in 8th grade are encouraged to attend with their parent/guardian.)

An “Elective Fair” will be held in Center Court this evening. At the fair, teachers in the departments of Fine Arts, Health and Physical Education, Practical Arts (which includes Business, Computer, and Information Technology, Family and Consumer Science, and Technology Education), World Languages, and other elective courses will be available from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to discuss the extensive range of available elective options in their departments.

In addition to the “Elective Fair,” curriculum department chairs and teachers will be available from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. to answer your questions about the other curricular areas. They are stationed in classrooms in or near the science wing.

Please enter the building through one of the following entrances: A-2 (Auditorium), B-9 (from South Lot), and C-20 (across from Athletic Building). Again, please note that Curriculum Night activities will only be held in the science wing (all departments will be located in this area) and Center Court. Specific room locations where departments will be located will be available during the program.

The high school faculty created a website that includes slide presentations and videos to explain the courses offered in our course catalog for families and students who cannot attend. We will share the website once it is complete.

If you can attend, I look forward to seeing you on Thursday, January 26, for an evening

of important information sharing as your child begins the scheduling process for the upcoming school year.
