National History Day Competition

National History Day Competition

Please join sponsor Nicole Glover in congratulating all participants of this year’s National History Day competition.  Participants used advanced research skills to explore areas of interest related to this year’s theme: Frontiers in History.

Freshmen Santiago Lozada, Jonathan Ramachandran, and Duncan Wooldridge created a website to demonstrate their research on South American Revolutions. Freshman Sam Wetzel earned an excellent score for his in-depth research on how sports analytics have changed the game of baseball.

And, once again, JT Westwood and Trenton Wood earned a spot at the state competition in April. Their impressive research project, Battle Cry of Freedom: How Black Soldiers Pushed the Frontier of Civil Rights, earned 2nd place at the regional event at Heinz History Center on March 19, 2023.
