Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science

From May 14-16 the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science held its state level competition on the main campus of Penn State University.  Four students from Mt. Lebanon High School earned first place awards at the regional competition which granted them an invitation to the state competition.

At the competition, the students performed a 10 minute presentation explaining their science research projects. An additional challenge presented itself when the presentation system had technical difficulties and all four of our students were unable to display their slides, but they persevered giving their presentations without the visual aids.

Aidan Hall, August Zentner, Laila Polat, and Lucian Mikush all earned first place awards, with Aidan and August also achieving perfect scores.  Please congratulate these students on their success at the state level!
