Student Achieves Math Honors
Congratulations to freshman Soham Dam for winning his division at the West Virginia University Junior Math Competition on March 25. Earlier this month, Soham also qualified for the USA Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO), an invitation based on his performances on the AMC 10 and AIME. The USAJMO exam determines the top math students in America in grades 10 and under. Participation in this prestigious exam is offered to approximately the top 250 student combined scorers on the AMC 10 and AIME. Soham is the only Mt. Lebanon student to qualify for the national exam in recent memory.
Mt. Lebanon School District looks forward to supporting Soham in his endeavor to become one of the nation's top mathematicians.
