National Honor Society

Lorem Ipsum Dolor

Scholarship. Leadership. Service. Character.

The National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, NHS membership is one of the highest honors a high school student can achieve.

At Mt. Lebanon High School, National Honor Society is more than an academic honor. It's a commitment to serving our school and community. Members are leaders who use their talents to make a positive impact both inside and outside the classroom.

The Four Pillars of NHS

Scholarship
Academic excellence is the foundation of the NHS. To be eligible for membership, students must earn a cumulative weighted Quality Point Average (QPA) of 3.8 or higher at the conclusion of the fall semester of their junior year.

Leadership
Leadership takes many forms. NHS members lead by example, contribute to school life, demonstrate initiative, and inspire others through their actions.

Service
Service is at the heart of NHS. Members are committed to giving back through meaningful volunteer work that strengthens our school and the greater community.

Character
NHS members are expected to demonstrate integrity, respect, responsibility, and ethical decision-making every day. Character is reflected not only in achievements, but in how students treat others and represent themselves both in and out of school.
